Initially, my mission for this site was to post my travel and conservation writings, but life has a funny way of messing with plans.
Now, besides those article links, Makena Safaris, LLC has been created to fill a much needed niche for custom safaris with a focus on conservation, and minimal impact to the wildlife and environment. It’s not about being a tourist but instead enjoying culture, wildlife and adventure at a personal level.
My passion for conservation sometimes runs rampant, so my blog and facebook fan page will mainly cover conservation issues, and continue to expose and discuss poaching as well as the ongoing abhorrent activities done to wildlife.
On a lighter note, I’ll be blogging about our local wildlife sanctuary – Southwest Wildlife, as well as anything to do with safari – lodges, airlines, clothes and my favorite – food…
